When life takes you away, whether you’re heading to work, taking a vacation, or just need an extra helping hand, you deserve the peace of mind of knowing your furry family members are loved, safe, and cared for just like they would be at home.
That’s exactly why we started Aussie Mom Pet Sitting.
Since 2016, we’ve welcomed dogs into the Aussie Mom Family through personalized daycare, playdates, and overnight boarding in our home. Every pet who stays with us becomes part of our pack, receiving the same love, patience, and attention we give our own.
At Aussie Mom Pet Sitting, every decision we make is based on one simple question:
“If this were our own dog, what would we want?”
That’s the level of care every member of the Aussie Mom Family can expect.
We are a licensed Florida LLC, fully insured through Business Insurers of the Carolinas, and certified through the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS), so you can feel confident knowing your pets are in experienced, professional hands.
About the Owners
Animals have always been at the heart of everything we do.
Ashley grew up surrounded by animals of every kind, and caring for them has always been second nature. She began pet sitting part-time in 2011 while working full-time as a Graphic Designer and Office Manager in the aviation industry. After moving back to Polk County in 2015, she quickly realized something was missing, working with animals every day.
In 2016, Ashley turned her lifelong passion into a career and founded Aussie Mom Pet Sitting LLC. Today, alongside caring for hundreds of pets each year, she also holds a Master of Science in Marketing, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, and degrees in Graphic Design and Information Technology. While education has helped grow the business, it’s the relationships with every pet and family that continue to make this work so rewarding.
Nancy’s journey into pet care came from a different path but the same love for animals. After years working as a Certified Dental Technician and Licensed Cosmetologist, life changed when her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Wanting the flexibility to be by her side through treatments, Nancy joined Aussie Mom Pet Sitting full-time in 2016.
Although her mother passed away in 2017, Nancy discovered something truly special along the way, a career built around caring for animals. Today, she continues to share that same compassion with every pet that joins the Aussie Mom Family, making sure they feel loved, safe, and right at home.
When we’re not caring for our clients’ pets, our own pack keeps us on our toes. Today our family includes our pups Roxy (17.5y female Aussie mix), Shelby (13y female Wheaton Terrier mix), Dallas (11y male Hound Mix), and Cosmo (1y male Border Aussie mix), our kitties Moana, Kenzie, and Eywa, and the pack is completed by our chameleon Jade.
Our hearts also belong to two very special members of our family who helped shape Aussie Mom Pet Sitting from the very beginning, Neevah and Hurley. Although they’ve crossed the Rainbow Bridge, they’ll always be part of the Aussie Mom Pack and a reminder of why we treat every pet in our care like one of our own.
We often tell our clients that their pets become our nieces and nephews, and we truly mean it. Every wagging tail, happy bark, excited greeting, and cuddle reminds us why we started this journey over a decade ago.
